Did you know New Zealand provides funds to a United Nations group (UNRWA) that in turn funds the publishing of books for school children that glorifies and encourages violence, particularly against Israel?

Having read some of the books and had the text translated, I put to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today that implicitly supporting such violent material is wrong; that New Zealand providing over a $1 million a year to UNWRA is inappropriate because of this; and suggested New Zealand holds its next round of funding in March until this matter is resolved.
